Very good Mongolia Beef for lunch. Vegetables weren't soggy and the beef was perfect. Very reasonable price and the perfect portion.

Not too impressed, awkward walking in, staff staring at us, did takeout soup cold entree not so good...never again!

Rangoon and orange chicken is amazing. Really good sweet/sour sauce.Had a couple other dinners that were more just ok. Fair price. Not going to be my go to Chinese place but I'd definitely go again for sure.

This place has gone downhill the last three times i have ordered here. Today will be last time. They cant keep up, order was late( took over an hour)and order was all wrong

Food has great flavor. Love the egg rolls. This is a family favorite. Almost always get it to go and our orders are right. They can be pretty busy at lunch time so I recommend calling ahead.

Dirty place with bland food.What was wrong with this place?1) dirty place ... Walls, floors, seats, ceiling were dirty. We could also see piles of stored boxes and food next to wall ..2) food was bland .. Ordered general tso chicken that was listed as hot spicy .. But it was not spicy at all zero spices were added. In fact it was super sugary as it came in a pool of sugary sauce. Assuming it was not fresh .. My dish was cold .3) they didn't deliver crab rangoon that was clearly listed as included .. 4) Portions were smaller then other places such as tsing tsao place that has comparable prices. If you are looking for good "real" Chinese - this place is not for you. Over sugared Mixology is what you get here .. With no spice used for expected spicy dishes. Odd but true.We will not be back.

Wow... What happened to this place? I've been in or around Grimes most of my life. Used to be an excellent place to get decent food at a great price and in only a matter of 15 minutes... Over the last 3 weeks or so, I have thought about ordering after a long day of work. I made multiple attempts, over an hour's span, to call. No answer... Last night is the 1st time I've been able to get through on the phone. I was told 30-35 minute wait. It was an hour before i was handed food. Not to mention, the help was rude. Also, my father (man of habit/orders the same thing each time) said it tasted different than usual and not cooked all the way. I hope whatever issues this restaurant is facing at the current time, they can get a grasp on it and resolve it. At this time, I will not return

FG is the bomb. Always worth the wait. Always the sweetest customer service. I cannot imagine Grimes without this killer joint. Five/five stars everytime!!!!!

Best Chinese place in Iowa. Cheaper and tastier than Hyvee Chinese. THE BEST. One thing that would make the experience better to attract returning customers is if they played music. The silence and sound of the kitchen and front desk is awkward for dine in customers. It takes away from the experience.

Price was very good, but food was subpar. I had 5 menu items, and while most were OK, I couldn't recommend any of them

Sadly my go-to place in Grimes was closed for the month. Nothing I had was exceptional, just standard American Chinese fare. The chicken in the orange chicken was more breading than chicken. The saving grace for this place is the price. $5 for lunch, with soup and eggroll is worth it

Incredible prices! $4.95 lunch special gets you a bug plate of general chicken with fried rice, soup, and an egg roll! All of it was really good too. Waitress was kind and on top of things.

Food taste really good

My most favorite restaurant around here! One order of meal can easily divided into two as their servings are oversized. Best crab rangoons anywhere. Appreciates their egg roll that comes with main dish. We keep their menu on shelf with phone books for easy reference. Their dining room is uncluttered and bright which is a plus for me.

Best Chinese food in the area. very attentive staff, not the most friendly but not rude either. overall though a great choice.

The gal who answers the phone could at least say goodbye or something instead of just hanging up after taking a to-go order. She is very rude every time. Perhaps she should consider a job that is not in the service industry. Maybe a place where no one has to talk to her, since she has no people skills.

Great food, fast service

The food is always fresh and isn't bogged down with fake ingredients. Everything has flavor and nothing is soggy. I would live here if I could.

It's your standard Chinese spot in a strip mall. Low prices are a plus.

Oh my god this place has amazing crab rangoons

Food was very good, and an exceptional bargain. Dining space was a little crowded, but the service was quick and polite. Overall a very nice place to go for lunch.

Lunch specials are fantastic for their price point. Food is of above average quality and only average quantity. Crab rangoons are good. Seating is pretty limited, so carry out is generally the best option.

Best chinese in Grimes maybe all of the Des Moines area. Wish I could throw up a sixth star. Only downfall no delivery and take out lines get pretty crazy.

I love fortune garden. However I am only giving them 3 stars because tonight when I got a to go order they forgot my egg drop soup (which does not come with the meal) and gave my an egg roll when I asked for crab Rangoon. So make sure you check your order before you leave

Foods good, way under staffed though. Went at lunch and took 20 minutes to get a water and the three tables that sat down after us were served before us. Paid for an additional order of crab rangoons and never got them.

Food is subpar and so is the service. The only thing they have going for them are their prices. You get what you pay for here.

Last 2 times we ordered they miscalculated joe long it would take. Last time I had to wait 45 minutes past my scheduled pick up and most recently it took 1 full hour past the time I was told it would available.

My 7 year old son loves the Egg Rolls, my 14 year old son loves the Crab Rangoon & I love the Sweet & Sour Pork. Everything is fresh & cooked to order. I have been eating & ordering out at this place for over 12 years & have never had a bad experience. I would say they are the best in the State of Iowa for what they do.😋😘😍

This is one of my favorite Chinese places to eat. They are usually busy but the food and service is fantastic and has been the last 10 years! If this place ever closes I'll be heartbroken.

The food was fantastic, but they were understaffed, so the service was really slow.

Great people with big hearts own this restaurant and offer a great selection at amazing prices. A short drive outside of the city located in Grimes, but. With a smaller town friendly old generational feel you'll enjoy.
